Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Sous Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of fine dining experience, a creative flair, and a passion for excellence. As a Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to lead the kitchen brigade, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current food trends.
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing training and mentorship to junior chefs.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory and order supplies, controlling costs without compromising on quality.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle any kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fine dining establishment.
- Exceptional culinary skills with a strong focus on presentation and flavor.
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
