Beautiful 4-star manor house hotel, nestled in the heart of Buckinghamshire, is seeking a Weddings & Special Events Manager to lead the dynamic team and drive the success of the venue's weddings and events business.

About the Role

As the Weddings & Special Events Manager, you will:

  • Drive Revenue & Strategy: Proactively develop strategies to exceed revenue targets, maximize bookings, and maintain the position as a market leader in the wedding and events sector.
  • Client Engagement: Respond to inquiries, deliver exceptional proposals, and conduct showrounds to ensure clients have an outstanding experience from start to finish.
  • Creativity & Innovation: Devise creative strategies to attract clients during off-peak seasons and enhance year-round special event offerings.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, lead, and develop the weddings and special events team to perform at their best in a fun and engaging work environment.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct regular market research to understand pricing trends and competition, helping to refine the strategy and offerings.
  • Supplier & Partner Relations: Build strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with the hotel's values and enhancing the reputation.
  • Showcase Events: Organize and deliver spectacular wedding showcases and supplier evenings in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Digital Presence: Manage wedding platforms and work closely with the marketing team to ensure the venue is well-represented across all social media and promotional channels.
  • Weekend Flexibility: Be available to support key events and client needs during weekends and occasional evenings.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior weddings and events role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills to connect with clients, suppliers, and team members.
  • A proactive and sales-focused mindset to drive bookings and revenue.
  • Leadership excellence, with a proven ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Commercial awareness of the weddings and events market, coupled with a creative flair for innovation.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
