Are you an experienced chef with a passion for providing nutritious meals and leading a team? We're seeking a dynamic Head Chef to take charge of kitchen operations at a Primary School in Dorset.
As Head Chef, you will play a crucial role in leading your team to deliver fresh, healthy, and well-balanced meals for the students. This hands-on position requires a dedicated professional committed to improving the dining experience of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Lead and develop a dedicated kitchen team.
- Plan menus within budget and nutritional standards, including special dietary requirements.
- Manage stock, orders, and documentation.
- Promote healthy food choices and support catering for special events.
We're looking for someone with:
- Experience in catering and menu creation.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- A proactive, organised approach and excellent communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (Health & Safety, Food Hygiene).
