Cluster Maintenance Manager - Salisbury - Up To 40k
At the hotel, guest safety and comfort are their top priorities. The 4* properties are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Maintenance Manager to join the team. This individual will lead a small but talented engineering team and ensure that the property remains in top-notch condition, while staying ahead of daily maintenance needs.
What You'll Do:
Your day will be varied, but your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day maintenance tasks and ensuring the team is always focused on the right priorities.
- Overseeing and implementing a preventative maintenance plan to create a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for the guests.
- Maintaining supplies and parts inventory, ensuring the efficient use of resources while supporting their sustainability goals.
- Being adaptable and responsive to sudden tasks and maintenance needs as they arise.
- Building strong working relationships with guests, regulatory agencies, and other external contacts.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the hotel's structure and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor and manage water systems with Legionella knowledge.
- Oversee COSHH training and compliance within the team.
- Conduct basic electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Operate and maintain electrical tools and equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals and drawings with ease.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contractors.
- Supervise and guide external contractors, ensuring proper sign-in and instruction.
- Manage and prioritise the Maintenance Log effectively.
- Collaborate with the General Manager daily to address priority tasks.
What We're Looking For:
- Completion of some college courses or advanced vocational training.
- A minimum of four years' experience in general building maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry.
- Previous experience in the hotel industry is a plus.
- Required professional certifications and licenses as per legal requirements.
