Restaurant Manager - St Albans -Up to £39,000 (Inc Service)
An established hospitality destination in the countryside is seeking an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced, casual dining environment. This is a rare opportunity for a hospitality professional looking to step into a senior front-of-house role with no evening shifts and a consistent finish time around 6pm. Operation works with fresh food and is part of a multi faceted venue with a premium offering.
Role Overview
The role is based in a daytime-only restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, coffee and cakes. Open seven days a week, the venue closes by early evening-meaning no late nights. This position is perfect for someone with restaurant, café, or deli experience who thrives in a busy service-led environment and values a better work-life balance.Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team during breakfast and lunch shifts
Uphold high service standards while coaching and developing team members
Coordinate with kitchen leadership on menu planning and service flow
Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care
Support rota management to ensure adequate staffing levels
Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the venue
Contribute to budgetary targets and operational improvements
Requirements
Experience in a restaurant, café, coffee shop, or similar hospitality environment
Confident leading a team and managing service in a busy setting
A hands-on, positive approach to guest service and team support
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
A flexible attitude to shift patterns (daytimes only, 5 days out of 7)
High personal standards of presentation and professionalism
Own transport is recommended due to rural location
