Marketing & Content Assistant - Iconic Venue - Clapham
Iconic venue which focuses on multi faceted events from nightclub, sport screening, comedy night, live acts and much more has unique opportunity for a Marketing & Content Assistant to join the team.
THE GIG
Looking for a fun, energetic person who's all about nightlife-from live music and clubbing to drag shows, comedy, movie nights, podcasts, and more. If you're into social media, creating cool content, and eager to dive into marketing in a lively and fast-paced scene, this is for you. You'll be helping out with all sorts of tasks like managing our social media, making content, digital marketing, creating designs for shows, doing research for the team, and plenty more. If you've worked in a similar role or in entertainment before, that's a big plus, but not a deal-breaker.You should be social media-savvy, have great communication skills (both writing and speaking), be super organized, self-motivated, and ready to work with a small team. You should be comfortable with Canva and open to learning new tools like Adobe Premiere, InDesign, and Illustrator if you're not already familiar. The job's a mix of office work and being on the scene at our shows and events-so loving the nightlife and managing your time well is a must.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Helping the team with:- Gathering content for our social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X) and internal promos.
- Creating eye-catching digital content for email marketing using tools like Canva and MailChimp.
- Making Instagram reels to hype up our shows and events.
- Tweaking our website/ticketing platform when needed.
- Running smaller email campaigns and gathering info for them.
- Capturing the vibe at our shows and turning it into awesome content.
- Researching trends, influencers, and journalists to help us stay ahead of the game.
- Helping out with in-house events-think dressing up photobooths, finding cool prizes, and other fun stuff.
- Networking and building your connections in the theatre, drag, comedy, sport, and music scenes.
- Assisting with any other random tasks that pop up, like research, attending shows, production help, creative writing, and all the other cool stuff that comes with working in live events!
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- Solid understanding of social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok.
- Experience with website and marketing tools like WordPress, MailChimp, and Google Business.
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proofreading, copywriting skills, and a creative mindset.
- Ability to edit within Instagram and use the platform like a pro.
- A basic understanding of ticketing, events, and live entertainment is super helpful.
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite is a bonus.
- A team player who can handle the chaos during big events like Halloween, New Year's, and Pride, and loves what they do!
