Salary from £50,000 ++++ 40 hour week straight shifts

Our breathtaking wedding and events venue set in over 100 acres of its own grounds is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic team and help create unforgettable dining experiences for our guests.
About Us: Nestled in picturesque Hertfordshire, our venue hosts luxury weddings, corporate events, and exclusive celebrations, all complemented by exceptional food and impeccable service. They pride ourselves on delivering a bespoke dining experience that exceeds expectations, and we need a skilled Executive Sous Chef to maintain our high culinary standards.
What You'll Do:
- Assist the Executive Chef in the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring the smooth execution of all events and service.
- Lead and inspire a team of talented chefs, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house and event teams to ensure the seamless delivery of all events.
- Develop and design innovative and seasonal menus tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control in line with budgetary requirements.
- Play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the venue's reputation for exceptional cuisine.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within a high-end, event-focused venue or fine dining establishment.
- A strong passion for food and a creative approach to menu development.
- A natural leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate a team.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional standards.
- A calm and organised approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing budgets, ordering, and stock control.
- A positive attitude and a passion for exceeding guest expectations.
