Job Title: Deputy General Manager - Luxury Country House Hotel & Spa
Location: Keswick, Lake District
Salary: £43,000 per annum + Performance Bonus + Paid Overtime (for hours worked over 45/week)We are proud to represent a stunning 4-star Country House Hotel & Spa located in the heart of the Lake District, as they seek to appoint an experienced Deputy General Manager to support and lead the day-to-day operations of this exceptional property.
About the Role:
As Deputy General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth daily operations across all departments. You will play a key leadership role, motivating and guiding the team while consistently delivering outstanding guest experiences. This is a hands-on position that requires presence, passion, and professionalism in all areas of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire the operational team across all front-of-house departments
Ensure the highest standards of customer service and guest satisfaction
Oversee daily Food & Beverage operations (Restaurant, Bar & Kitchen) and support Reception when required
Drive quality and consistency across all services and guest touchpoints
Support the GM in strategic planning, cost control, and staff development
Be flexible and willing to step into any department to maintain excellent service standards
Candidate Requirements:
Prior experience in a 4-star hotel environment, ideally as a Deputy General Manager or senior F&B Manager
Strong Food & Beverage background, with a solid understanding of high-quality food service operations
Knowledge of front desk/reception processes and standards
A proactive, hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead by example
Commercially aware, with a focus on driving performance and profitability
A passion for hospitality, team development, and exceptional service
